      "content": "# About Patchory\n\nPatchory is a small experiment in social software where the only interface is your AI chat client.\n\nIt exists because the hardware-music community already lives in chat threads, Discord servers, Reddit gear pages, and DMs. The premise: if you're going to talk about gear, you might as well let the AI do the matching, the recommending, and the messaging — and skip the social-network UI entirely.\n\n---\n\n## Phase 1 (2026)\n\nIdentity, gear collection, follow, discovery, feed. If you don't see it, your plan doesn't support Custom Connectors yet — try [Claude](/install/claude) instead, or upgrade your ChatGPT plan.\n3. Click **Add**.\n4.       "content": "# Patchory terms\n\n*Last updated 2026-05-13.*\n\nThese terms apply to your use of Patchory during Phase 1 (invite-only testing).\n\n---\n\n**1. Invite-only.** Patchory is currently in invite-only testing. Don't share your invite URL — it contains a token that grants access on your behalf.\n\n**2. Identity via MMP.** Patchory uses your MMP handle for identity. [MMP's terms](https://mmp.chat) also apply.\n\n**3. Public-by-default.** Everything you post, every piece of gear you add, your profile, and your follow graph are public to other Patchory users by default. There are no private posts or DMs in Phase 1.\n\n**4. No moderation guarantee.** During Phase 1 we don't actively moderate content. Report violations to [tim@patchory.app](mailto:tim@patchory.app).\n\n**5. No warranty.** Patchory is offered as-is. We may take it offline, change behavior, or reset data at any time during Phase 1.\n\n**6. Data ownership.** You own the content you post. By posting you grant Patchory a non-exclusive license to display it to other users.\n\n**7. No commercial use.** Phase 1 is for personal hobbyist use.
